First prepare the skin’s surface for optimal adhesion by washing the area where you’ll apply the sensor. Wash with a non-moisturizing, fragrance-free soap and then clean the same area with an alcohol wipe to remove any oily residue. Finally, allow your skin to dry fully before applying the sensor. This is especially important if you plan to apply the sensor after you shower or swim. Some things to try and avoid between the sensor and your skin are:
- Moisture of any kind
- Hair – you can consider shaving the application area
- Oily residue from soap, lotion, shampoo, or conditioner
